- Princess Friederike Luise Charlotte (known as Charlotte) Wilhelmine married Tsar Nicholas I of Russia, her children included Alexander II of Russia

- Prince Friedrich Karl (known as Karl) Alexander married Marie of Saxe Weimar-Eisenach
- Princess Friederike Wilhelmine Alexandrine (called Alexandrine) Marie Helene married Paul Friederich, the Grand Duk of Mecklenburg-Schwerin
- son died of diphtheria as a child
- Princess Luise Auguste Wilhelmine Amalie married Frederick of the Netherlands
- Prince Friederich Heinrich Albrecht (called Albrecht) married Marianne of the Netherlands and later Rosalie von Rauch
