One child was a Cardinal, one studied cardinals, and one studied languages…

Louis Lucien Bonaparte, 3rd son of Lucien was noteworthy as a scientist.  He was with the family at the time they tried to escape to America and was captured by the British. The British housed them in Worcester, England, but eventually he ended up in Italy when his father took that principality.

Louis was a philologist and was noted for classifying dialects of the Basque language.  His references are still in use today.

In 1833 Louis married Maria Anna Cecchi, the daughter of a Florentine sculptor.  When she died, he married Clemence Richard in 1891.  Clemence had been his mistress, and they already had a son.
