Beatriz, Victoria’s great granddaughter of Spain..

.. continued to like Spain and supported claims of her brother Don Juan to the Spanish throne.  The family reunited in 1963 in Athens at the wedding of her nephew and King Don Juan Carlos with Princess Sophie of Greece – combining yet more royals from different countries.

Her parents had died in exile, and due to a fracture in her leg in 1983 that never quite healed, she was not able to see Juan’s ascension to the throne, or see her siblings.  She lived longer than all of her brothers and sisters, and in 1999, gave an interview to Hola! Magazine in Spain were she discussed the royal life, giving the world a glimpse of the joys and perils of being royalty in this day and age.
