Eras we focus on are:

1740-1760 (end of 2nd Georgian/Colonial)

1760-1790 (3rd Georgian/Colonial)

1790-1825 (Regency)

1825-1837 (Romantic)

1837-1895 (Victorian)

1895-1914 (La Belle Epoque/Edwardian)

We depict women in American history, although because American women got their materials and ideas from around the world, it includes much of world fashion.

While there are crossovers and “sub-eras”, each listed above has unique characteristics that relate to the social, political, & economic situations of the time & place. We will present costume ideas for you, based on these general categories:
